Please Help A Stray Animal

With each and every rescue group comes a network of people and organizations without whose help it would be impossible to do what we do. This is our network and we'd like to thank them:

First, the dozens of fellow rescuers we've met in our struggle to help New York City's homeless and abandoned animals. We thank them for having the love and compassion to give such a big part of their lives to help these street animals that society tends to shun.

The Humane Society of New York and their Feral Cat Program.  We'd especially like to thank Sandra Defeo, Susan Richmond, Anne-Marie Karash and Sarah DeVries -- four of the finest women -- who have helped us immensely over the years to get our stray and feral cats the medical attention they so desperately need. We thank everyone at the Humane Society -- doctors, workers and volunteers alike; they are an incredible bunch of people who are completely dedicated to helping animals.

The A.S.P.C.A., for the use of their mobile clinic. This amazing operating-room-on-wheels comes to your location and will spay/neuter 25 animals in a 6-7 hour period. Without such help we would not be able to spay/neuter as many cats as we do. Last year alone the ASPCA spayed/neutered over 14,000 cats!

The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals.  We thank them for being a tremendous resource for NYC's rescue groups, and for making us one big family.  We'd especially like to thank Jane Hoffman, Janell Granier and Ellen Celnik for their outstanding dedication and commitment. www.animalalliancenyc.org

Another thanks we'd like to extend is to Bryan Kortis of Neighborhood Cats -- for all that he has done for the strays of New York City and for bringing nationwide attention to the feral cat problem.  He has been instrumental in spreading the word about the Trap-Neuter-Return program and how important it is.  Because it does work.  www.neighborhoodcats.org

Last but not least, a special heartfelt thanks to K-9 Caterers who so kindly let us show our cats for adoption on Saturdays and Sundays, resulting in many wonderful homes. The men and women of K-9 Caterers are extremely caring and generous and we look forward to being at this wonderful pet store every weekend.
